There's a storm outside, it's so loud.
But I'm inside where it's so quiet.
The wind is so fierce; it pummels ferociously against the window panes and yet they don't break.
They withstand the force to keep me safe.
The rain batters against the roof above me like bullets so loud, and yet, the roof doesn't give it - it shields and shelters me from the rain.
It's comforting to know I'm protected.
But I'm inside where it's so quiet.

They withstand the force to keep me safe.
The rain batters against the roof above me like bullets so loud, and yet, the roof doesn't give it - it shields and shelters me from the rain.
It's comforting to know I'm protected.
But now I'm thinking - what about the people who aren't protected?
Those who have lost their tranquillity and let the storm to seep in through the cracks in their skin?
The people whose happiness is blown away by a gust of wind.
The people whose mind is foggy with clouds.
The people whose hearts a struck by lightning making it beat out of their chest and the thunder that rumbles deep in their stomach but refuse to surrender to it.
The people who can't hear the voices of those trying to help them because the rain pelts against their skull so loudly.
Maybe they don't need the words of help yet, maybe they just need someone to hold an umbrella above them for a while.
Maybe they need protecting from the storm just like the rest of us.
Maybe they need protecting from the storm just like the rest of us.
